It seems all Minnesotans have stored away their winter coats including us. Spring is officially here! The temperature even reached the 50s today, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Harper and I met up with Corynn, Katie and Jozef for a walk around Lake Calhoun and our first ever stop at the toddler park. The boys shared wheels in the biking/jogging trailer we have. It went well for the most part until it was getting close to nap time, then both boys started crying. I guess they didn't want to sleep together.
It still felt quite chilly at the park with the cold air biting us off the frozen lake, but we soaked up the sun and basked in the warmth of an emerging Spring.
Both Harper and Jozef really enjoyed the swings. There was lots of leg kicking and arm flailing as they swung back and forth with big smiles on their faces. They each took a couple turns down the slide as we reminisced about how much they've grown since April last year...and how much they're going to grow by the time we're at this same park in the middle of summer.
Josh's brother Jake joined us this evening for our first grilled dinner of the season: beer, lemonade, brats, sauerkraut, and beans. After dinner, Harper showed off a few of his new learned language skills including saying "uh-oh," and "ee-ah" (for EIEIO).
I've been working on quite a few sewing projects over the past month and a half. A few of them are done, and the rest of them are getting close. I should soon have a sewing project post or two to share!
