One Year Old

Our dearest Harper Edison,

One year ago at this very moment you were born into our family (no, I'm not up at 2:39am...it's timed.) You've brought new love and joy into our lives, and you constantly amaze us with your fun personality and active development. You've blessed us beyond words. It's hard to believe a whole year has gone by since we first saw you face to face. And yet, you've changed so much and become a wonderful little boy full of smiles, sillies, likes, and dislikes.

Last year we were in such suspense and anticipation for your arrival, and this year we excitedly anticipate your birth-day. You have no idea this day is particularly special, but it almost brings me to tears...and it probably will throughout the day...to think you are already so handsomely grown up from the precious little newborn you were. We cherish all the memories we've made with you so far, from your first smiles to your first crawls.

You mean the world to us, or rather, you are our world. We love you unconditionally and live for every scrunched up little nose, every new discovery, every cuddle, every story-time, every moment we spend with you. You are uniquely you, and we love every bit of who you are.

May you always know how much you are loved.

Always and forever,
your Mommy and Daddy

Awwwww! Your blog made me tear up! I know it is so hard for you to be away from Harper today but you and Josh are the BEST PARENTS EVER. You did such a wonderful job writing his 1 year blog (and all blogs) and are awesome parents. I'm so blessed to have been able to watch Harper grow, and am excited to watch him keep growing....to someday go to his high school grad party! :) Love you! jamie
