Christmas Card 2011

We weren't quite on top of things this year and haven't yet mailed out the hard copies to family and friends who didn't receive our Christmas Card email. I apologize and haven't forgotten! I struggled with this decision since I enjoy receiving snail mail myself, but a mass email seemed the way to go when you're short on time. It's also very difficult to find someone to print edge to edge on the front and back. Alas, here's our Christmas Card from this year:

Thank you to our friend Erin from Erin Bell Photography who took these amazing winter photos on the one day we had a substantial amount of fresh snow. Don't be fooled. We did not have a white Christmas this year.

A Visit with Santa

This Santa is a pro and made Harper feel right at home.

Harper didn't ask Santa for anything this year, so we were off the hook. He did, however, give Santa a big high five. "Merry Kip-us!"

December Catch Up

Joshua spent two weeks training in Chicago for his new position with Apple earlier this month. It was hard to have him gone for so long, but we managed to keep ourselves busy. Harper and I headed to Mankato for the weekend in between and spent time with family. The next Monday was my birthday, so we also celebrated my birthday with family that weekend. 

Saturday lunch we went to the mall food court for some yummy Massad's. My mom took Harper for a ride on the Carousel. He really enjoyed it! I figured he'd get nervous once the horse started moving up and down. It was cute; he kept yelling, "horsey horsey!"

Monday night some girlfriends and I went to dinner at Annie's Parlor. Our friend Jesse was a saint and watched both his son and Harper that night. We returned to find them both bathed, in their pjs and reading books. They were sure having fun.

A couple of days after Thanksgiving, we headed to an Ace Hardware in Uptown to pick out a Christmas tree.

Giving Thanks

We had a very nice Thanksgiving day at Josh's mom's house this year. Josh's Aunt and Uncle from Colorado also drove up to celebrate the holiday with us. Even though we unfortunately weren't able to see all our family on Thanksgiving, we're thankful to have so much loving family to have to divvy it up.
