Merry Christmas

Josh and I are excited for our first Christmas as a married couple! We cut down a tree from a tree farm in Lakeville and just finished decorating it with ornaments. We've already been to several Christmas celebrations including a couple open houses, Josh's work party (including dinner and the Denver and the Mile High Orchestra concert), and a production of "The Gospel according to SCROOGE." This past Sunday Josh and I sang portions of Handel's Messiah with the choir at church. Everyone said it sounded great! It was fun to sing some classical music again with a choir. It's been great so far to prepare for the season in so many different ways through concerts, worship, fellowship, service, and music. We hope you too are finding ways to prepare for our Savior's birth!

Mazatlan Honeymoon

Thanks to Josh’s mom and David for giving us the opportunity to honeymoon in Mazatlan, Mexico! The weather was awesome, and we rarely ran out of things to do. Let’s see...we went sailing, kayaking, hiking, shopping, parasailing, swimming, and there’s got to be more than one thing I’m missing. All in all, we had a fabulous vacation and plenty of time to kick back and relax. The picture above was taken from our suite balcony, and the picture below was taken from a restaurant situated on the edge of the beach. We’ll for sure miss the ocean and those pool-side pina coladas.

Just Married

I just love this picture. I think it really captures the reception part of our wedding. Everyone was having a great time, we were all smiling, and Josh was thinking, “I done good.”

Although the reception was a blast with all of our family and friends, the live band, the great food, and the tasty cake, the ceremony was by far my favorite. It was a beautiful ceremony with lots of meaningful scripture, traditional symbols, gorgeous music, expressive vows, and genuine emotion. I wish I could relive it every day...that is of course without any stress or time deadlines.
