This Thursday, Harper and I spent the day with Kari and her daughter Leila! Kari is soon going back to work, so we thought we should get together while we had the chance. Leila wasn't so sure about sharing her toys with another baby, but we had a great time reading books and playing with our kids while Kari and I chatted about babies/kids/house/work/etc. We also went on a short walk and made a visit to Kari and Bryan's new house they are building. It was fun to get our babies together and think back to the time before we both had kids and how much things can change so quickly.
Later in the afternoon, I took Harper with me to a couple of quilt shops in town as I was looking for some fabric for a special project I have coming up! Harper fell asleep at the second store, but I was able to balance him in my arms while picking out a bolt here and there.
We spent the evening at my parents house and stayed for a yummy grilled salmon and grilled vegetable dinner. Grandpa had a fun time showing Harper their new water pump he recently got working (something my parents bought in Belgium and have been meaning to put up for quite a while now!). Here are a couple pictures from the evening:
