After the service, we enjoyed a couple cinnamon rolls from the youth's mission fundraiser then headed home for a nap and lunch. We hurried things along as best we could to get Harper to his first birthday party at the Children's Museum. Harper's friend Ella turned 4 today and her parents threw a super fun birthday bash.

Happy Birthday Ella! Time for cake and ice cream.
Harper was a little escape artist while in the big room and instead of running around with the other kids on the stage he'd bolt for the door. Maybe he was just making sure I got in my workout for the day.
Water fun.
Harper had a really nice time and did a great job at wishing Ella a happy birthday. He spent a lot of energy there too and was yawning and looking mighty sleepy while driving over to Gasthof Zur Gemutlichkeit for dinner with my family. My parents attended a play at the Guthrie that afternoon, and Josh helped Ryan out with a new Mac purchase, then we all met up for some hearty German food.
Harper was being a goof, but here we all are with our yummy, big portions of food (and beer).
The accordion player quickly grabbed Harper's attention and even played "The Wheels on the Bus" and "Twinkle Twinkle" just for him. He also let Harper press a few buttons and would then give him a high five. Harper also enjoyed the toasting and saying, "Hoi Hoi Hoi!"
Back at home, Harper played with Grandma and Grandpa while Josh helped Ryan set up his new iMac. Ryan also bought a flight simulator program to learn to fly model airplanes (he has three real ones!). Harper thought it was fun to watch the planes crash. It was soon very evident that Harper was completely worn out. He was becoming super emotional and cuddly. It was a very busy day with lots of physical activity. We're pretty sure he was asleep the second he crawled onto his bed.
