Family Cookie Bake

We thought about running to the store to pick out some new pillows (our new bed frame arrives tomorrow!!!) but instead decided to have a family cookie night and broke out the baking supplies. Harper just loves being in the kitchen to see what's going on and will often throw a fit if you go in there without him. We have a step ladder he will climb up on and help us stir and watch all that is happening. It's not ideal without a back support, but he even tells himself to "be careful!"

Baking good 'ole fashioned chocolate chip cookies as a family was a lot of fun. We all had a blast and didn't make too much of a mess. After the buzzer went off, Harper informed us it was his monkey's birthday and went to the closet to pick out a candle. We sang 'Happy Birthday' at least five times to the monkey, blew out and relit the candle several times, and enjoyed a few freshly baked cookies and milk. I'm glad we took a few photos to remember such a fun night.
