Thankful in Indy

We took Harper on his first long road trip for Thanksgiving this year. We left early, well...Harper had us up anyway, to head to Indianapolis to visit my Grandma Kontak, Aunt Corrie and Uncle Alan. Josh and I were pretty beat, but it's our own fault since we decided to take Harper swimming the evening before instead of packing. We met up with the rest of my family so we had plenty of drivers to rotate shifts. Trevor wasn't able to come unfortunately, and we really missed him. Even though we had a great time in Indy, it wasn't the same without him.

Thanksgiving morning started with a service at St. Johns, followed by Thanksgiving dinner and a relaxing evening at my grandma's house. Here's Harper hangin' out after church:

When there wasn't anything else going on, Ryan was busy defeating ducks...or something like that...

All in all, we had a nice trip to Indy and are very glad the long car rides are over. Harper did pretty well, but I don't think we will be able to put him in his car seat ever again without him making a fuss. He didn't fuss on the way there until we had 1.5 hours left, but he wasn't as patient on the way home. Last night we did make a longer stop in Rochester to visit Trev for a bit. We're hoping to be able to get together with him again soon.
