Wild River Camping

Josh and I finally got out camping this summer! We realized we hadn't been camping yet and made a last minute decision to throw some gear in the car and head out. It had been raining earlier that day, but the evening and next day were absolutely gorgeous. It was a nice getaway. We played a board game, made s'mores and stared at the amazingly bright stars. In the morning Josh cooked up a yummy camp breakfast of eggs and hash.

During the day on Saturday, we ended up at Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis. There were thousands of people there taking advantage of the beautiful day. We threw out our picnic blanket, relaxed, read books, talked...etc. It was so nice to just sit back and not have to do anything. We brought a small portable bucket grill to cook up some brats for dinner. I wish we could do this everyday...that would be the life.
