Merry Christmas from Tettegouche State Park

After having a wonderful Christmas with Josh's family in Mankato, we headed North to Tettegouche State Park for a winter vacation. I took this shot our first morning there from one of the cabins towards the lodge and Mic Mac Lake. I spent a lot of time skiing, and Josh spent a lot of time fishing with Trev. Here's a cozy shot of them in the ice house. I spent one day skiing with my parents, Ryan, and his girlfriend Jennifer. We skied to High Falls where this picture was taken on a suspension bridge over the river. The trek ended up taking us 5 hours! This last photo illustrates our trek back to the parking lot with all of our gear. We decided to pile all of our gear on sleds and on our backs so we wouldn't have to make the 1.5 mile trip more than once. A Buca Birthday

Josh threw me a wonderful 23rd birthday party and invited tons of our friends. 25 of us packed around the longest table at Buca di Beppo for a scrumptious Italian dinner. We topped it off with a toast of limoncello. The picture below is Jamie and Corynn with me at the Town Hall Brewery (our after dinner location).

Thanksgiving

After working until 6pm Wednesday night, Josh and I drove to Mankato to hop in the family van and head to Indianapolis. It took us all night and morning until 8am, Indy time. Upon arrival, we changed into our Sunday dress and went to the Thanksgiving service at St. John's Lutheran Church at 9am with my grandparents and Aunt Corrie. The rest of the day was spent either napping or eating large portions of food.

Friday was spent at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, where we toured greenhouses, the Lilly House, and a Christian Dior exhibit. Aren't these orchids gorgeous?! On Saturday we toured the Brickyard (Indy 500 track) and museum. Here's a picture of Josh ready to take a lap around the track. I'm so thankful we were able to make this trip. It was the last time I saw my grandpa before he passed away.

Green Groceries

I've just ordered a set of grocery bags! I realize I could have made them myself, but it is sometimes just as fun to order already made things. These Baggu bags are fun because you can order all different colors. I'll let you know how they work!

One Beautiful Fall Day

We've had some great fall weekends here in Minnesota, and we haven't let them go to waste! This is a picture from when we went roller blading at Lake Nakomis in Minneapolis. What you don't see is the hole in my jeans and scrape on my knee after I fell when a pine cone got caught in one of my wheels.
